Last June, I purchased a laptop from ABS for my graduating senior to take to college. One of the major selling points for me was that ABS is name-brand specific on the components used, and doesn't add on a lot of "garbage" software. I can't tell you how pleased I am with the purchase!

I recently bought an Ultimate X8 after going through reviews, Forum entries, etc. Because of some problem with my particular 4G configuration, I called ABS Tech Support for help. A dispatcher took my name and phone number and promised that I would be called back. I was !! About twenty minutes later by a Tech called James. He stepped me through several tests and was very thorough in explaining his rationale. He made the decision that the PC had to be returned for corrective action. At that point, most techs would turn the problem over and get on with other business but James retained ownership and more than that ... became a customer advocate supplying supporting evidence to Engineering. This is virtually unheard of in todays PC manufacturing environment and I congratulate ABS and in particular, James of Tech Support for their high level of support in a post-sales situations. I will have no hesitation in recommending ABS to anyone I encounter who is considering such a purchase. They surely do live up to their motto - "Always Better Service"

I just received my Gladiator Extreme three days ago and so far everything has exceeded expectations. I ordered online tailored to my needs (mainly gaming).

Everything showed up as ordered (1 day early). I ordered a Nighthawk mid tower case that when I opened it up the support beam that houses the Hard drive had buckled slightly from... who knows what - I'm thinking shipping somehow - but the support was bent and the hard drive and the slot holders for extra hard drives had fallen into a little pile. No big deal - Bent the bar back and arranged everything the way it should be. I'll probably reinforce the bar, slightly, just in case. When I turned on the computer it booted right up with no problems or errors. The system is running great and I've had no need to contact technical support. Always make sure you check out the computer when It arrives. I'm extremely satisfied with ABS thus far and expect to order from them again in the future.

Great buying experience. Having had bad experiences with other online gaming computer makers, I read the reviews for ABS and decided to go with them. It turned out to be a good decision as I ordered my pc on a Saturday and received it that Friday. Upon initial inspection, there were not any loose parts, the cables were neatly hidden within the case and no dents or scratches. It booted up the first time with no hiccups and has been running smoothly so far.

They provide customer service hours on the weekends, which is a plus, and I wasn't on hold for to long.

So far, ABS seems to offer a great product and customer support at a competitve price.

Having purchased a system from ABS about 5 years ago, I felt confident buying from them again.
On 11/16/06 I Ordered the Ultimate X8 II configured to my specs, a viewsonic LCD, Klipsch 2.1 speakers, Saitek keyboard, laser mouse, and recieved everything, fully tested with data, the same week. The only problems were a broken door magnet and also the right channel on the Klipsch Pro Media speakers was not working. I called customer support and they answered right away. I'm sorry I don't remember the gentleman's name but he was incredibly helpful and knowledgable. He overnighted me the magnet along with a prepaid FedEx shipping label. FedEx dropped off the magnet and took the speakers all in one move. That was on a Monday. Friday a new set of speakers arrived shipping prepaid. The system is awesome and purrs along perfectly. I can't say enough good things about their customer support. They are slightly more expensive but trust me, if you want peace of mind, it's worth it.

I have an Awesome 3600 That I have been delighted with foralmost three years. I recently experienced a technical problem with both my CD drive and my DVR drive. I decided to call The company for help after three years of no communications with the Company. Within an hour, I was called by Tech Support by a very patient Technician who solved my problem with ease.

This was my first system from ABS and I will definitely look them up for my next purchase. I decided to go with them based on their good reviews here on Reseller Ratings and I was not disappointed. I bought a Core 2 Duo E6700/ NVIDIA 7950 GX2/ WD 150 Raptor system. Ordered on 9/2/06 and received on 9/15/06. It came well packaged, not a scratch or dent anywhere. Their builder did a very clean wiring job inside. It is running perfectly with no problems at start up. Good job ABS!

After shopping around, reading ratings and reviews I chose ABS to place my order. A company that may charge a little more but who had an excellent quality rating. I was not disappointed. This has been the third system I have purchased in this manner in the last five years from three different companies and this has been the best by far.

I knew exactly the build I was looking for by researching individual components. The website ordering process was very easy and went through with no problems. The PC shipped 3 days ahead of the scheduled ship date with a notification by e-mail that included tracking numbers and links to the shipper. The PC arrived on the scheduled date with some wear and tear to the box. The packaging was well done and the interior was well protected. No missing items and a nice binder containing manuals and disks.

I ordered a case with a window and was very pleased with the excellent wiring job. Everything was tied and routed around the back of the case in nice neat lines. This allows for a great airflow and a great clean look.

PC booted first try and has performed top notch since. No bloatware installed just the software packages that came with the hardware to make it functional. I am very pleased with my purchase and would recommend ABS to anyone looking for a well built quality system.

Finally got my computer after picking it up from ABS. I opened it up and revealed a T-Shirt, a binder, the big computer box that held the desktop and two small boxes which contained manuals,cds, and spare parts and cables.
Upon hooking up all the cables and starting the machine I couldnt help but notice how well built this came out. Everything works pretty good so far without a hitch. Its quiet compared to my old desktop except when I play games. Even then it doesnt really seem loud. I installed HF2 and looks and runs great. So far so good is all I can say for now. Ill give another review in about 6 months to give you guys a heads up if I run into anything. But for now this computer works exactly as ABS promised.

Due to a recent lightning strike, I recently lost two systems (surge suppressed, and UPS protected), and needed a system fast. I have built close to 100 systems for myself, clients, friends, etc, and know exactly what components I need to achieve the desired results. I am the leader of one of the bigger Doom3,Quake4,CSS clans, and am doing quite a bit of web design, and could not have any extended downtime. Because of having built soo many systems myself, it was rather difficult to purchase one, without custom building it myself, but time was an issue. Being an avid gamer, designer, and clan leader, needed a serious system, and needed it yesterday. :)

Decided on a new AMD Sniper, with a FX-60, SLI 7900GTX. Couldn't be happier with the decision. I know what to look for with a build, pricing, assembly, etc. Even after pricing it out, it became obvious that ABS was the way to go. I've had the system over a week, and have done serious testing, benchmarking, and am impressed to say the least. Currently with little to no effort I have come VERY close to breaching the 10K score in 3DMark06, which is astounding. Stock cooling. Because of my impression of ABS, which is stellar, I'm going to be doing a write up entitled "Buy it or Build it", in which I'll point out the extreme value, service, and price point that ABS offers. Thanks ABS for producing such a 1337 rig, at an unbelievable cost. I look forward to recommending you highly to the clan, and our associates, and doing business again.

Would buy again very satisfied with product. In the past I have put computers together myself but with little time these days to spare decided to buy a complete system. Since I am a game player the first ad I came across for ABS was in a gaming magazine. Went to their site and was impressed with the quality components I could choose. After reading many online reviews I decided to take the plunge and just make the order. Cost a bit more than some but they gave you details of all components and choices. I had purchased a Mayhem G4 Revolution from ABS. I absolutely love this laptop! It's very good bang for your buck, not incredibly heavy as opposed to another gaming laptop such as the XPS.

Originally, I was looking around for a cheaper gaming laptop which was 1. light in weight, 2. decent video card for gaming, and 3. Budget was $2000. So like many others, I wanted bang for my buck. I read up on all the lesser known companies and ended up finding ABS, CyberPower, and a few others. After doing some research, I decided to go with the G4 revolution after reading a review from GD Hardware regarding the G4 revolution and a review from Computer Shopper.

Needless to say, I'm quite happy with my G4 Revolution. The price came out to under $2000, 6600, with 2 gigs of ram, DVD-RW, 60gb hdd, extra battery, and included with all that was a laptop bag and a lapcool 2 as well as free tshirt. The LCD is great, and the keys don't feel cheap such as that of Dell laptops. It's not heavy at all, and being a girl, that says a lot. I'm able to pick up the laptop with one hand!

Currently, I play WoW and FFXI, and I'm able to run 3 instances of WoW before feeling any sort of lag.

Their customer service has been superb, calling me after the purchase for security purposes, and then a few months later to make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend this company if anyone is looking for a gaming laptop and don't really want to go with a company such as alienware.

I purchased this computer for my boyfriend about 6 months ago. Another close friend also purchased a gaming laptop. We all play World of Warcraft and various another games (City of Heroes/Villains, Guild Wars). The only real problem I had was the payment process, I had to spend a few min on the phone each night to make sure that payment went through, or fix the process, but then again my bank had problems anyway.
When the laptop arrived my first response was to how well it was packed! It came in a box so big I wondered if they sent me a desktop instead of a laptop. We opened it and were amazed! It was sent along with a binder of info about the computer and the computers personal statistics and a place to keep all of the disks.
I have ordered computers online before, I ordered a specially built gaming PC from another company about 2 years ago. It came out of the box not working. It got sent back and I got told they cracked the case 2 weeks after I sent it. I spent 2 months sending it back and fourth trying to fix it and in the end I had to fix the issue myself. With either of these laptops we have not had ANY technical issues out of.
I was also happy to receive a phone call to make sure this computer was working out ok.
Yes I would purchase from this company again...I will be in the very near future. As to if I would recommend this company to others....I already have. I have a Guild on WOW of about 60 people, I have recommended it it each and every one of them on our gaming forums. Finally something better than gateway and dell. You get what you want and need for a great price.

To start I was planning on building the best gaming system but that was shot down because I kept running into compatibility issues and then some driver conflicts. So I finally gave in and decided to try buying a gaming rig from a few companies. While ABS was actually the last company on my list it showed potential as its prices where very competitive, well anyways besides price I decided to call ABS. I have to say I was not all that happy when I was told that I was put on some kind of list for a call back. As soon as I was told that, I was saying forget this what kind of company make you wait to buy a system. Well after about 10 minutes I get a call from a tech guy Nick. I told him I called in to ask about purchasing a system, and that I needed sales. Then he responded that abs assigns a tech to help customers first in order to help a customer best choose a system for each individual’s needs, so I said hey what the hell. After asking him a few questions about SLI I was very surprised on the amount of knowledge he had about SLI gaming rigs and so on. I even tried telling him I use AutoCAD 2006 for work and he actually knew what I was talking about and helped me with a few problems I always run into when trying to render images using NVIDIA graphics cards. Well back to the system. I was very amazed of the Nick’s knowledge with Gaming and CAD software, so I decided to go ahead and purchase the Ultimate M6 Sniper with FX-60, 2 EVGA 7800gt video cards 2gb of memory and 1 150gb raptor drive. After receiving it all I can say is WOW this thing hauls ass. Its performance was way beyond anything I put together. I have to give ABS so props. You have very Knowledgeable Tech's and great machines. Trust me when I say this will not be the last system I ever buy from ABS.

I work for a local ISP doing in-house pc work and tech support. My co-worker and I were looking at notebooks for our own and for the company. We purchase many items from newegg and really rely on the hands-on reviews of the people who use the products. This leaves out the paid advertisers on the most part and gives a realistic look at what our money can get.

My co-worker purchased one first, the G3 Mayhem with 3400+,1GB,100GB5400rpm,DVD burner. A week later (having to get one up) I ordered from ABS my dream machine to replace my 3yr old SONY FX63. 3700+,2GB,80GB7200rpm,DVD burner. Awesome desktop replacement!

After a month of usage we ordered 9 of the first type for our company. These are exactly what we wanted- desktop replacements. Many talk about the cons of weak battery life, large power supply.. well guess what- these aren't laptops, people! These are true desktop replacement systems, portable style. Our usage is just that, rarely needing to run off battery power but available if necessary. And the unreal power of the AMD's completely takes these out of the class of "laptop".

You want a laptop? Buy a cheap Dell. You want raw power? Get a G3.

Where do you go to get a custom box if you don't have the time or patience to make it yourself? iBuyPower and CyberPower have awesome prices and great configurability but you're taking a major gamble with them, it will be a long time before you see a computer, or more likely your money back when they screw it up. The giants like Dell have an even worse track record, and the poorest selections on the internet. The established players like Alienware and Falcon charge an extra 500 or 600 for their logo on the case.  

I read the reviews for ABS here, and then created a few configurations on their site, and decided that they were the ones to go with. The site is easy to use, the component prices are on par with NewEgg prices, with in depth specs and big pictures of most of the components (top of the line, too - the GeForce eVGA 7900 GT they are using is the CO Superclocked model, not the stock GT). I placed my order on the 3rd, and on the 4th there were some credit card verification hiccups, so I contacted them to sort it out. I was on hold for a few minutes (2 or 3), then the CSR took my info and gave me the dreaded "someone will be in touch with you soon" message. I started to sweat, but within the next 20 minutes, 2 different customer service reps had contacted me via email to let me know that they had sorted out the problem and to update me on the status of my order, respectively. That's 3 human beings in half an hour, all of them courteous, fast, and professional.  

My computer isn't due to arrive for a few days, so I will update as the order progresses. So far, so very f*cking good.  

Update 4/13: The computer arrived on the 11th, securely packaged and ready to go. All discs and manuals were tucked into a binder with ziploc folders, and all cables were supplied. After a few minutes of monitor setup and plugging cords in, I turned her on... and I will be ruining my pants for weeks, this thing is fast (slightly modified M6 Sniper configuration, 2 gigs RAM, AMD 4000+, geForce 7900GT, no peripherals since I have a closet full of em). No dead pixels on the monior (Samsung 740N Black), FarCry and HL2 run like a dream. Editing our home movies doesn't mean it's time to get up and make some food anymore. Awesome computer and a wonderful experience buying through ABS, I will definitely be back when this computer starts lagging behind the curve. Elder Scrolls Oblivion, here I come... wife and kids, I still love you no matter how the next few weeks go.

I am very happy with my pc from ABS. From the ordering process to the pc arriving at my house. Everything went smoothly and I got an awesome pc. I ordered my "Ultimate M6 Sniper" on 3/8 and received it on 3/17. Very fast. The quality of this pc is very good. Everything was put together nicely. And the wiring was done professionally. I had originally configured my pc with the GeForce 7800 GTX 256 mb video card. The day after I placed my order the new GeForce 7900 GTX 512 mb video card came out. I called ABS and wanted to change my configuration. It was no problem. I just paid the difference. I've been using my new pc for a week now and I couldn't be happier. It's been very stable and has never locked up on me. All my games run at max settings with awesome performance. Thanks ABS. I will buy from you in the future.

I purchased two custom snipers before the holidays. I have been running them since. They are great machines. No problems what so ever. I would say the quality of the work is 10 out of 10.

I just recently received my new system(m6sniper) and had a problem of my own creation already. I was trying to get my antivirus up and running right away. So I digitally downloaded Norton SystemWorks 2006 and installed it by their recommendations by accident. Their full install includes Norton Go Back, which was almost the cause of a reformat. I have Raid 0 config and apparently NGB is not compatible with Raid at all. So after a successful installation, it failed to boot and I received a NGB internal error which really pissed me off. No where in Symantecs literature does it say NGB isn't compatible with Raid(except for the knowledge base). Who uses the knowledge base when they don't have a problem?? Something as crucial as this should have been in the manual.
Anyway, got very frustrated searching through the complex webbing that makes up Symantec's tech support. Hold times are terrible at times and they want to charge you for there crap breaking down. So I called ABS to help even though it wasn't their problem. The tech rep. helped me search through all the Norton knowledge bases and took me through a step by step process of creating an .iso bootable disk to fix the problem. For this I am very grateful.
Tech support takes a beating when things go wrong and not much praise when they do something right. So I wanted to go out of my way to thank ABS Tech. support for helping me with and issue that was not even their fault.

Symantec was going to have me reinstall windows all because they didn't even check with me to make sure I converted the .iso file image correctly to disk.......so when I couldn't boot it they gave up and said reformat. ABS is the one who double checked my work and helped me fix the disk and boot from it to repair my enemy Norton Go Back...........

I have been a customer for a few years now. Summer of 2002 I purchased the Awesome 3200 Desktop computer. It was awesome. Even though computers have a way of becoming obsolete in 6mths or so, this one had the specs to keep me happy for a while. I've recently upgraded the mobo/processor/ram, and I still use it.

I was so satisfied with the quality of ABS' computers that when I needed to buy a laptop, this was the first place I looked. After comparing with many companies and websites, I kept coming back to ABS, best prices around. I have had my Mayhem G4 Laptop for about 1 month now, and I am completely satisfied, it rocks!

I've had the computer for about two years. During that time, there have been some problems, mostly not due to the computer itself. In every case, even now when it's out of warranty, there has always been willing and competent help. For this last problem, which was caused by a dead battery needing changing, I couldn't start the computer again. After calling, I got Joel Alvanez. What a nice guy, and with a sense of humor, too! I'm hard of hearing, so I needed patience. Joel was very understanding and helpful. I've dealt with Microsoft techs and others, too, who live in New Delhi and have very strong accents, hard to understand. Plus which, the wait for them is often a very long time. ABS is SO much better.

Thank you ABS PC,
After helping my girlfriend with her computer on almost a weekly basis I realized how great of a computer you guys built me ( I'm sorry it took so long ). I purchased it in November 2003 and the only problem I've had was a loose cable for the floppy drive during shipping. My 9 fans may be a bit loud but I am extremely pleased at how well and how long it has lasted me. I hope this email doesn't cause any Murphy's Law to happen, so I want to thank you for the 1000's of hours I have logged on this machine.

Just wanted to say I’m extremely happy with my new laptop G4 Mayhem.

Great packaging, well designed, all the custom pieces installed, beautiful screen with no dead pixels, etc.

And best of all, great WoW performance – 50 fps in BlackWing Lair on a full server when I used to get 2-5fps in there. And it’s nice cranking the graphics up to full detail with no problems.

Anyway, just want to let ya know I’m very pleased, and will definitely order from you again.

Purchased a G3 S45.
I'm quite happy with it. It had 1 dead pixel which you can't even see unless you have a straight black or white screen going. Aside from the GPU issue *which I resolved* its perfection.

I purchased my computer from ABS to skip the hassle of putting it together myself. I have been completely satisfied with the experience. Ordering from the website was simple, I had the options to choose how I wanted my computer, and the prices were great compared to the other sites I checked out.

The computer was built and shipped in a short period of time. Disks and documentation came in a binder and made for easy organizing. The computer is amazing, built custom to my liking and runs perfectly. I've had zero issues with it.

All and all I was very happy with ABS. I've told some of my friends about it and they are looking to make purchases in the future. Years down the road when I need a new system I'll likely be sure to come back to ABS myself.

I would like to thank your Technician, Joel A. Alvanez, for the outstanding support I received over the past few days. Joel worked with me for days with out ever giving up on the problem. I had a total system crash and Joel worked with me until it was restored. He was there every step of the way and explained what we were doing. His effort was to educate me as well as restore my system. As a result of his knowledge and cooperation, when I am in the market for a new system, I will look at ABS Computers. I ordered my notebook, Mayhem G3 Eclipse, on a Friday, followed it through each phase and got it the next Thursday. I got everything I ordered no problems. The system is GREAT!!! I enjoyed the binder with all the 3DMarks and tech specs. That was a bonus. I checked everything over twice and it is in perfect shape. It's exactly what I wanted. I've been playing Far Cry, the free game that came with; it works flawlessly! Thanks ABS!

I've had my computer from ABS for about a year and a half, and everytime I've needed to call tech support, they've been wonderful to deal with. Especially today when I needed help undoing the mess I made when I went temporarily insane and decided to install Windows Service Pack 2 without prepping my computer beforehand...which led to not being able to boot up my computer, except for in safe mode. Joel in tech support helped me fix it, and he made what seemed to me like it'd be a nightmare of a problem very simple to deal with. My computer was quickly back to it's normal, fantastic self. Joel has been kind enough to send me along a new, updated recovery CD in case I ever need it to. Cool.  

After all this time, I still love my computer, and I am very happy I decided to go with ABS to get it. They rock muchly.

My son is a dedicated 'gamer' and shopped some time for a gaming laptop which I was buying him for an early graduation present. He found several highly rate laptops at $2700 and more but could not afford them. Then he discover ABS, who offered a very comparable computer for $1000 less. ABS offers a great product at a fair price. My son has been delighted with the performance and I am delighted with the value! Thanks ABS!

Found ABS when I was shopping for a name brand laptop. They offered to let me customize it and offered the options I needed. The ordering system was a little awkward but I got thru it with no problem. The tracking system seemed fairly useless but since the laptop arrived a couple of days before I expected it who cares.  

The laptop runs like a champ, except for the wireless card which drop connections and then picks them back up. Since I need to run a card compatible with Linux (its a dual boot machine) I just turn the internal off and plug in a good PCMCIA (they cost less then $50). The rest of the components fire right up in Linux, I can boot right into X Windows with default configuration so this laptop is a great deal for the price.  

All in all I'm happy and will purchase from ABS again.
